Unable to learn from a 57 kHz remote control

First: Unfortunately this Q&A entry page is not in english, so I have to guess what fields require what information .... and 'inspecting' the HTML code ...
My issue:
I am trying to learn the commands from a remote, but the UC100 does not accept it. It keeps waiting.
I know the learning function as such does function, but just not with this remote.
I do know that following about this remote:
The remote uses the 'CanalSatLD protocol, using device 37, subdevice 0', which uses a 57 kHz carrier.
I used IrScrutinizer with an IR remote receiver to confirm this.
No issues learning the codes with this application and hardware.
I can provide you with the function codes and such of this remote if it helps tackling this problem.
The remote is from an Arris VIP5202 device. Simular devices using this protocol are mentioned on
